Carla Collado
Senior Associate
Carla M. Collado joined Olmstead Williams Communications in 2008 after nearly three years as an education and general assignment reporter for Gazette Newspapers in Long Beach, Calif. As senior associate, she works with clients in the technology, life sciences and professional services industries, specializing in media relations for law firms.

- Collado worked in various capacities at media outlets across the East and West coasts, including as production intern for the KPCC show “Weekend America,” intern for the Web and news departments at WBUR in Boston, editorial assistant at the Boston Herald and freelance writer for the Norwood Bulletin, a weekly newspaper just outside of Boston.
- She studied at Carnegie Mellon University and Boston University, graduating from BU with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a minor in Italian.
- While at CMU, Collado was part of a four-student team that spent a summer living and working in Rome, interviewing local business owners and elderly residents about the history of the city’s Esquiline hill. Their stories were later incorporated into a large mural that is currently installed in a La Sapienza University lecture hall.
- Collado was born and raised in Puerto Rico and grew up in a military family.
- She is fluent in Spanish and Italian.
