Geneva Health Solutions, a solutions provider of technology-enabled services in the implantable cardiac device space and a BioTelemetry, Inc. company, released cardiac device data findings at the 40th Annual (2019) Heart Rhythm Society (HRS) conference.
The moderated session titled, “The Role of Novel Remote Monitoring Data Management System Ameliorating Data Deluge from Implantable Loop Recorders,” was presented by Manish Wadhwa, M.D. F.H.R.S. (Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society), Geneva’s Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Wadhwa reviewed the following highlights at the conference:
- Over a three-month time period, over 22,000 ILR reports poured onto the Geneva platform from one cardiology practice.
- Approximately eight percent of these reports required immediate action, while seventy-eight percent of the reports did not contain useful information or represented data that could be stratified for timely but non-urgent review and reporting.
- The Geneva platform was designed to collate these reports and provide practitioners more meaningful reporting.
