The cryptography used in Arculus technology from CompoSecure leverages the secure elements in NFC-enabled payment cards to provide a FIDO-certified, two-factor authentication service to any credit or debit card issuer worldwide.
CompoSecure, the top provider worldwide of metal payment cards, has been developing Arculus technology for several years. Its first product came on the market in 2021 – a credit card-sized hardware wallet for owners of cryptocurrencies and other digital assets.
This new service, Arculus Authenticate, is comprised of an applet, software development kit (SDK) and a back-end authentication server. It works with NFC-enabled metal and plastic cards certified by the global networks.
