Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa will host a reception on January 12, 2012 to kick off the 26thannual Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year (EOY) program for the Greater Los Angeles area. Villaraigosa and Matt Karatz, Deputy Mayor for Economic and Business Policy, will join local business leaders in launching this year’s search for entrepreneurs and innovators who not only are successfully leading their companies but also strengthening the region’s economy.EOY celebrates game-changing entrepreneurs worldwide who have founded and built successful enterprises. Awards are given in each region for innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to businesses and community achievement. In 2011, the EOY nominees from Los Angeles employed 28,000 people and generated more than $10 billion in annual revenue.
