More than quarter of executive job openings in finance

More than a quarter of the 1,100 executive job openings nationwide are in finance, according to an article in the MudGood Job Journal by Cerius Interim Executive Solutions CEO Pamela Wasley.
The demand stems from companies focusing on recruiting chief financial officers and chief accounting officers to balance budgets, something that has become even more important in light of today’s fears of a double-dip recession and overall uncertainty in the marketplace.
The 2012 “Cerius Interim Demand Index,” a recent study that spotlights C-suite recruiting and hiring trends to watch, also showed that there is significant demand for chief operating officers of vice presidents of operations. The report also found that demand for hiring C-suite executives is showing positing traction. And in Pamela Wasley‘s words, in this crazy economy, “any good news is great news.”
