Scott Klein, new President and CEO of Language Line Services
Language Line Services today announced the appointment of Scott W. Klein as President and Chief Executive Officer effective immediately. Klein, 54 also becomes a member of the Language Line Services Board of Directors. Louis Provenzano, who has served as President and CEO since 2010, has resigned.
“Language Line Services is a very special company that provides mission critical interpretation and translation services to a very large and loyal group of clients. Taking over as President and CEO of a company that is the unquestioned market leader in its field and helping the business to find new ways to grow is an exciting challenge,” Klein said. “There is a significant market opportunity to grow and expand Language Line Services and I look forward to working with our team to maximize these opportunities in a rapid, substantial fashion.”
Klein has had a varied career leading businesses in many industries including consumer packaged goods, building products, technology products, consumer electronics, business services, market research and media. Most recently he led the successful effort to create a new strategy as well as the financial restructuring efforts at Verizon spin-off Idearc Media later rebranded as SuperMedia. Prior to that Klein was an operating partner at Symphony Technology group, a private equity investment firm.
