StoneAge, a Durango manufacturer, wanted to buy a Chinese factory and build a lower-cost line of its water-powered industrial cleaning equipment, until it got caught in the crossfire of the trade war.
“China is a really, really important market for us. They are still using chemical cleaning, but they are shifting to environmentally friendly technology,” said Kerry Siggins, CEO of StoneAge Inc.
